Physician Alignment Starts with Our Team’s Alignment: What We’ve Learned Along the Way

Oftentimes, patient-facing advancements can outpace the systems and support physicians and healthcare administrators rely on behind the scenes. When things begin to feel misaligned, it creates a domino effect, starting with physician burnout, compliance risks, and ultimately a decrease in patient care quality.

Since 2004, we’ve seen firsthand how the landscape continues to change. Left unaddressed, these trends compound— straining internal teams, slowing reimbursement cycles, and increasing compliance risks across organizations. So, how does Dynafios support our clients during these changes?

What We’ve Seen

Workforce

While patient care demands run high, a notable issue organizations are facing is the shortage of physicians and providers in specialty fields. This could be due to career shifts, pay considerations, and geographic mismatches with where they are in their career. While one side of the industry struggles under employee volume, the other faces an aging workforce.

According to a VMG Health study, 20% of practicing physicians are 65 or older, and 22% are within the ages of 55- 64. The two factors combined lead to a strain on how healthcare workers plan for the future of their industry.

Medicare Reimbursement Cuts

As rising costs compete with the day-to-day quality of life for many Americans, decisions made by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have sparked nationwide debates. For the fifth consecutive year, CMS has implemented reductions in Medicare payment rates, with the most recent one being 2.8%. As payment rates decline, practices begin to feel the strain of absorbing rising costs, leading to a financial burden on top of organizational demands.

Manual Workflow is Just as Prevalent

In physician compensation, spreadsheets remain a default tool, and numerous healthcare organizations continue to use spreadsheets to organize physician pay and tracking. A physician can fill the spreadsheet, which then moves along the funnel to the organization’s finance team. Along the way, a new version gets created, a cell has an extra number, and those small errors add up to real compliance risks.

As providers juggle constrained schedules and operational duties to support workflows, taking the time to adjust a spreadsheet creates additional work that can, in turn, impact patient care.

How Have We Adapted?

Dynafios offers solutions through our Physician Compensation Software, along with consulting services. While our products and services have proven successes for many organizations, the true success starts with our internal teams.

We Practice What We Preach

Collaboration is a driver of organizational alignment— inside healthcare and out. Our customer success team has worked alongside project managers to align on mobile app updates, and our marketing team regularly sits in on demos to further their understanding of updates and the organizations we partner with. The payoff for our partners? A team that’s aligned before the conversation begins.

Beyond the Numbers

At Dynafios, many of our team members have had direct experience in the healthcare industry. Our experiences are more than just a statistic; they are the understanding of the pain points our partners are facing.

The challenges facing the healthcare industry today—workforce shortages, reimbursement pressure, and outdated workflows—aren’t solved by software alone. They’re solved by teams that understand the problem from the inside out. That’s the alignment we bring to every partnership, and it’s why our approach continues to help organizations move from strain to stability.
